Dear Burnaby Hospital,

When we received the call from Tim’s work place, that he had been seriously injured and was taken to the hospital, I must admit that I had several visions of long waits, delays, or staff who were unable to attend to him.  The vision of a grinding machine embedded into our son’s hand was not a pleasant one.

I would like to take a few moments to thank each and every one who attended to my son’s injury yesterday at Burnaby Hospital. Tim was dealt with in a caring, quick and the utomost professional manner. When I arrived, I was immediately seen by an Emergency Room nurse who took me to Tim’s bed. I met with the nurse in charge of adminstering intitial medication and care. Tim had been taken to X-ray even before my arrival. To all of them and the volunteer who moved Tim to the fourth floor where he was quickly seen by another nurse and then a surgeon – thanks to all of you.  I can only think this level of care will help Tim make a full recovery.

My wife, Colleen, and I would like to express our gratitude and make a small token donation to your hospital fund raising organization. Please Use it as you see fit.

Yours truly,

Michael and Colleen

Dear Burnaby Hospital,

Enclosed you will find my cheque for $100, my annual contribution for the Burnaby Hospital Foundation. On June 14, 2011, I had a big abdominal surgery at Burnaby Hospital, and I spent 17 days there. All the medical staff (Dr. Mahi was my surgeon) as well as all the nurses and professional staff were very kind to me. I always be very grateful for all the care I received in such occasion. I hope my contribution can help you with your endeavors.

Keep the good work!

Raquel
