Burnaby’s young people need support closer to home.
Right now, youth aged 12 to 24 in our community are facing rising mental health challenges, substance use concerns, and crisis—and too often, they’re left navigating a system that is difficult to access when they need help most.
In Burnaby, there is currently no dedicated youth centre that brings together mental health care, primary care, substance use services, peer support, and social services in one welcoming space. Instead, young people are often faced with long waitlists, fragmented services, or care that isn’t designed for them. Many end up in emergency departments during moments of crisis—or fall through the cracks entirely.
Foundry Burnaby will change that.
It will be a free, walk-in community health centre where young people aged 12 to 24 can access integrated support under one roof—no referrals, no fees, and fewer barriers to getting help.
