Shining Star Wall
The birth of a new baby is one of the most amazing and defining moments in our lives. Placing the name of your new family member on our Shining Star commemorative wall is a unique way to celebrate a very special occasion, while at the same time supporting enhancements and equipment purchases for all of our tiniest patients and their families.
Super Star: $500*
Star: $250*
Starlet: $150
Keepsake Star: $50 each
*Super Stars come with a commemorative certificate and keepsake star. Stars come with a certificate.
Tranquility Garden
Located adjacent to Palliative Care Unit on the second floor of Burnaby Hospital, our Tranquility Garden patio provides an outdoor retreat for palliative care patients and their families in a calm and serene setting. Remembering a loved one by displaying their name on a butterfly in our Tranquility Garden is a meaningful way to celebrate the life of a family member or friend, while supporting the highest priority needs at Burnaby Hospital, including Palliative Care.
The minimum $5,000 donation for a butterfly can be achieved through a single donation or cumulative donations from family and friends.
Donations qualifying for recognition on the Shining Star Wall and Tranquility Garden Wall are tax deductible and support high priority patient care needs at Burnaby Hospital.
