Cheers to you

Give thanks to health care providers who have made an outstanding effort to provide exceptional medical services.

Grateful Patient Program

The Cheers to You grateful patient program honours Burnaby Hospital staff members, physicians, and departments who have made an outstanding effort to provide exceptional medical service to patients.

Show your gratitude towards your caregivers by contributing a gift that will fund improvements to the hospital that supports our staff in their life-saving jobs.

When contributing a donation, please indicate that it is in honour of a staff member or department.

When a patient makes a donation through this program, the health care provider being honoured will be eligible to be recognized on the Cheers to You display wall and will receive a letter of recognition and a commemorative gift.

What our patients are saying

“We were so fortunate that [our son] was in the hands of angels who paid the utmost care for our baby’s well-being. We can see this in so many little details. It’s a labor of love. We want to share our deepest thanks to all the nurses, doctors, unit clerks, and so many others that provided care for us at Burnaby NICU, such as Daniela, Julia, Su-Ning, and Dr. Qian.”

-Martin and Sayuri

“I had to go to the Emergency Department at Burnaby General Hospital for an emergency surgery and I want to thank the triage nurse, Rose and emergency nurse, Kristin for their professionalism, kindness and empathy. It made my experience much more pleasant and manageable. Thank you for what you do especially during this time of year in a pandemic”

I have nothing but praise for the [Burnaby Hospital] staff during my procedure. They are so busy and so competent, caring, empathetic and understanding. They always took the time to make me feel comfortable, checking with me frequently to see that I’m okay. I couldn’t ask for a more amazing experience with the entire staff, starting from the entrance to the hospital and onward. Thank you.
