About the Gala

In past years, Burnaby Hospital Foundation’s annual gala has transported you around the globe to visit places like Nashville, India and China and this year we are bringing the celebration to another awe-inspiring location – Burnaby. Our home has so much to offer, from thriving local businesses to majestic mountains, so after a few tough years, let’s celebrate the place we live, work and play.

On November 4, we welcomed back guests to our No Place Like Home Gala, presented by Burnaby Firefighters Charitable Society. Throughout the night, they enjoyed a cocktail reception, followed by a multi-course meal, live entertainment, dancing, and a live auction – all in support of Burnaby Hospital’s Bright Future redevelopment campaign.

We are proud to announce that, with the help of our community, we have raised a record-breaking $480,000 in support of Burnaby Hospital Foundation.

YOUR SUPPORT IS CRITICAL

Help us meet growing equipment needs for our ICU.

Burnaby Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a crucial part of our hospital that provides critical care and life support for seriously ill patients. We need your help to ensure high quality care for even more patients.

We are looking to our community to help raise funds to purchase new pieces of essential equipment needed for an expanding hospital. The equipment that we require are used daily to support some of the sickest patients in the hospital.

SUPPORT THE TRANSFORMATION OF BURNABY HOSPITAL

Burnaby Hospital Foundation needs your help to transform a beloved community hospital into a state-of-the-art facility that will meet the growing healthcare needs of Burnaby and surrounding neighbourhoods for generations to come.

The highly anticipated redevelopment will significantly expand services available for patients and families and boost the number of beds by almost 50 per cent. When the project is complete, the campus will have two new patient care towers and a cancer treatment centre.

Phase One focuses on four services that are critically important for all local families: emergency, surgery, maternity and mental health.
