ER Volunteer and Community Members Come Together to Spread Holiday Cheer for Frontline

December 8, 2020

Burnaby Hospital Emergency Department Volunteer, Sally Ou is all about spreading kindness wherever and however she can – and has been a light for our community throughout the pandemic.

Recently, Sally contacted the Foundation to inform the team that she would be gifting holiday cards and treats from Burnaby’s The Valley Bakery for frontline staff.

Upon order pick up, customers and staff overheard that Sally’s order was being delivered to Burnaby Hospital and at once, everyone came together to contribute to the total cost. Sally was speechless and grew emotional seeing community members come together to support Burnaby Hospital.

The Foundation is in awe every day by the generosity displayed throughout our community.

Thank you, Sally, The Valley Bakery and our community for reminding us all what the holidays are truly about.
