Burnaby Hospital Foundation Announces New Vice Presidents

We are excited to share that effective today, two integral parts of the Burnaby Hospital Foundation team are assuming new Vice President Roles.

Danielle Sleiman moves into the role of Vice President, Development and brings her passion for engaging the community and exceptional leadership abilities into this new position. Danielle joined the Foundation team nearly 5 years ago and has played an imperative part in the fundraising successes. As we draw closer to the Phase One fundraising goal of $30 million, she enthusiastically looks forward to the highly anticipated upgrades Burnaby Hospital will see in the near future.

This beloved community hospital has taken the first promising steps in the Proud History, Bright Future campaign and I am honoured to be a part of this much-needed upgrade. It continues to be my pleasure to work with passionate members of our community to create a meaningful difference in healthcare,” says Ms. Sleiman.

Claire Wang assumes the role of Vice President, Finance and Administration and has been with Burnaby Hospital Foundation for over 5 years, helping the organization grow through her expert financial and management skills.

“I am thrilled to take on this exciting opportunity at Burnaby Hospital Foundation,” says Ms. Wang. “As a Burnaby resident of over 20 years, I’m honoured to be doing so at our beloved community hospital that plays a crucial role in providing high-quality and equitable healthcare in the 3rd largest city in the province, particularly at this time during the pandemic that has touched so many lives. One of my priorities is to work with our diverse community groups in raising financial support to transform the aging community hospital into a state‐of‐the‐art modern facility.”
