History
Whether it is a life threatening situation or a broken bone, Burnaby Hospital is here for our community when they need us the most. In the 1940’s the citizens of Burnaby had a vision of a community hospital to serve the needs of its growing population. Through their hard work, their vision became a reality. Burnaby Hospital opened in 1952 and since that time, our vision has grown to a 294 bed hospital that now services the health care needs of the burgeoning population of Burnaby and East Vancouver.
