The Slice 2011 Raises $150,000 for Burnaby Hospital

Burnaby Hospital Foundation celebrated an astounding success at its 25th anniversary golf tournament, The Slice, on Friday, June 17, 2011, raising $150,000 to help purchase urgently-needed equipment at Burnaby Hospital.
“This success represents what can happen when the community comes together for a cause that is close to their hearts,” said Cheryl Bosley, President with Burnaby Hospital Foundation. “The funds raised will be put to work purchasing critical equipment that supports Burnaby Hospital’s Ambulatory Care Services. We couldn’t have achieved this without our sponsors, the individuals who support us, and everyone who came together to put on this spectacular event.”
Celebrating its 25th anniversary, The Slice drew a crowd of approximately 200 supporters to participate in the annual golf tournament at Riverway Golf Course. All proceeds from The Slice support Burnaby Hospital Foundation’s goal of raising $2.7 million to help purchase urgently-needed equipment at Burnaby Hospital.
