Making a gift in memory of a special person is a wonderful way to pay tribute to the memory of a loved one, and let their family know that your thoughts are with them during this difficult time.
We will contact the next of kin to let them know you have made a donation (without disclosing the amount), and we will send you a tax receipt.
We are pleased to annually honour the names of those we have received in-memoriam gifts on our Annual Donor Wall. In-memoriam gifts of $5,000 or more will receive permanent recognition on our Legacy Society Wall.

From the ER Frontlines

After four years working in Burnaby Hospital’s Emergency Department, Dr. Paul Johar, is one of many heroes working in the hospital’s frontlines. He’s been practicing for seven years now, enjoys the nine- to ten-hour shifts and says his days are never typical and goes by very quickly.
“I get a chance to see a lot of people,” he shares, “and I think I’m able to help a lot of people that way. I’m in an atmosphere surrounded by health care professionals and I’m able to learn from them and bounce ideas off of them. And that’s really unique in the Emergency Department.”
