Building Blocks Baby Program
The birth of a child is a momentous and emotional experience for most parents and their families. Whether your baby is a long-waited for miracle or a welcome addition to your family, we hope you will allow us to help you celebrate by purchasing a block to go on our Building Block Wall.
A Building Block celebrates the birth of a baby in a unique way and shares your joy with others by adding the new baby’s name to our Building Blocks Wall and sending a special birth announcement that will run in the Burnaby Now.
Friends, Grandparents and other family members find Building Blocks are a wonderful gift alternative and a lasting way to honour and pay tribute to the birth of the new baby. All funds raised support the highest priority equipment needs of Burnaby Hospital.

Taking Care of Life’s Most Precious Miracles

Left: Patient Care Coordinator, Loa Wilson, keeps a watchful eye on Burnaby Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in order to provide a smooth experience for parents and infant patients.
Everyday, Loa Wilson walks to Burnaby Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and runs through her daily routine of troubleshooting the issues and oddities that lie in the background of caring for babies. But her days as a Patient Care Coordinator and Educator at NICU are anything but typical.
