Mary has been associated with the auxiliary for many years, and is the current auxiliary president.

The Auxiliary to Burnaby Hospital has over 100 members, which provide over 21,000 hours of volunteer service throughout the year by operating the gift shop and thrift store. They also provide patients with snacks, magazines, books, and hairdressing services—a unique contribution to quality of patient comfort. The Auxiliary to Burnaby Hospital provides significant support to Burnaby Hospital Foundation, having generously contributed over $2 million to date.
