Joanne supports Burnaby Hospital as it is important to her to be able to influence how her community is being served in this critical area.
She understands that everyone will need medical care at some point in their lives, and wants to know that she has done all she can to ensure her local hospital can provide the care we need, when we need it, and in the best possible way.
As a proud member of the TELUS team, community involvement is part of the culture she lives, both professionally and personally. In her career at TELUS she has developed a strong acumen in business by working in several diverse areas of the company. She attended BCIT in the 1980's to obtain a Systems Administration certificate, and has been involved in building several major systems since that time. She has also worked in Human Resources, Finance Operations, and Consumer Solutions in a number of different positions, each providing knowledge and experience applied to both her work and life experiences. Joanne is currently a Director in Strategic Planning and Execution, supporting a national team whose focus is to improve the client experience through both system and process opportunities.
